For this project, we undertook a complete rethinking of the existing primary bathroom and walk-in closet space in a traditional Boston home. Our goal was to transform these areas into a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space while preserving the home's classic charm.

Design Concept:

The redesign focused on creating an open layout that enhances the sense of space and flow within the primary bathroom and closet. We started by removing walls that previously compartmentalized the area, replacing them with a more open and inviting configuration.

Features and Materials:

  • Stone Shower Enclosure: A centerpiece of the new bathroom is a luxurious stone shower enclosure. The natural stone not only adds a touch of elegance but also provides durability and easy maintenance.

  • Double Vanity: To enhance functionality and provide ample space for two, we installed a double vanity. This feature is complemented by ample storage, ensuring the bathroom remains clutter-free.

  • Modern Fixtures: The inclusion of sleek, black bath fixtures and accessories gives the space a contemporary edge. These modern elements contrast beautifully with the traditional aspects of the home, creating a balanced and harmonious design.

  • Lighting: Carefully selected lighting fixtures enhance the overall ambiance of the space, providing both functionality and style. Recessed lighting and statement pieces were strategically placed to highlight key areas and add to the modern feel.

Outcome:

The result is a bathroom and walk-in closet that feel modern and refreshed while respecting the home's traditional roots. The new layout not only improves functionality but also enhances the aesthetic appeal, making it a standout feature of the house.
